Travelling the World, One Destination at a Time

Travelling to new places and meeting new people has always been my passion. While I may not yet consider myself a world-class traveler, I believe that day will come. So far, I’ve had the joy of exploring some wonderful destinations, each with its own unique charm.

One place I hold close to my heart is Portugal—a hidden gem of Europe. Though it may be small, this coastal country by the Atlantic is brimming with beauty and history. From vibrant cities to tranquil beaches, there’s so much to see and experience. My explorations didn’t stop there, as I also ventured by road into neighboring Spain, visiting iconic cities like Madrid, Isla Canela, Seville, and Malaga.

Further into central Europe, I had the honor of attending my brother’s wedding in Poznan, Poland. That trip was special for many reasons, not only because of the family connections I made but also because Poland captured my heart. I also had the singular honor of visiting Warsaw, and it is truly one of the most beautiful cities I’ve visited in Europe. The architecture, culture, and history of the city made a lasting impression on me.

What do I love most about Poland? The weather, the bakeries, and, most of all—the doughnuts! They were, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. And let’s not forget about the teas! If you love tea as much as I do, Poland will amaze you with its vast variety of teas and infusions. I even dedicated an article titled Get Drunk for the Right Reasons to my newfound love of these warm, comforting beverages.

Italy was another unforgettable adventure. I visited Milan, where I enjoyed breathtaking views of this majestic city, from the awe-inspiring Duomo Cathedral to the serene Parco Sempione. Before heading back, I spent time in Somma Lombardo and Cesto Calende, indulging in the most delicious pastas and rich, creamy gelatos on its charming streets.

Further north, I drove into beautiful Switzerland. The journey through Ligornetto Mendrisio, Capolago, and Melano left me in awe of the country’s stunning landscapes. Finally, we stopped at the magnificent Castle of Bellinzona. It was simply astonishing—a place that felt straight out of a fairy tale.

The following year, I returned to Italy, this time to experience Rome in all its glory. Walking through the Eternal City, I was immersed in its grandeur, from ancient ruins to breathtaking piazzas.

My travels have also taken me across the Atlantic to the United States, where I’ve made incredible memories. I spent Christmas in New York City, soaking in the magic of the season with its dazzling lights, iconic holiday displays, and the festive atmosphere of Rockefeller Center. A year later, during the summer, I visited Las Vegas, exploring the vibrant city with its famous casinos along the Strip. The energy was electrifying, and the city’s nightlife was unlike anything I had ever experienced.

From there, we embarked on a memorable family drive to Los Angeles, where we visited Santa Monica Beach. The golden sands, the scenic pier, and the relaxed coastal vibe were the perfect way to wind down after the excitement of Vegas.

Finally, one of the most magical experiences I’ve had in the U.S. was spending Christmas in Colorado. It’s a state full of welcoming people and stunning landscapes. From Longmont to Estes Park and Denver, every moment was unforgettable. If I had the chance, I’d relive that trip in a heartbeat—and I can’t wait for the next adventure!

Join me on my travels as I continue to explore the world, one destination at a time.
